The line of Coach Potts proteges achieving success gets even longer as Mike Moustakas has been called up to the Kansas City Royals and will make his MLB debut on 6/10/11 in California against the Anaheim Angels.




Tight end Juan Redmon has been named the 2011 Heart of America Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player. Juan, who has trained with Coach Potts for two years now, was also named the 2011 HAAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Coach Potts has been asked by ESPN to serve as a contributing expert for a 10-part series of articles geared towards strength-training for high school athletes. The articles will feature training tips and quotes from athletes who train with TopSpeed Sports Performance and are scheduled to be published throughout Fall 2011.

Johnny Giavotella adds his name to the growing list of players who have trained with Coach Potts that have been called up by the Kansas City Royals during the 2011 season. Johnny went 2-for-3 in his Major League debut against the Detroit Tigers on 8/5/11.

Duffy, who was called up by the Kansas City Royals has collected the
first Major League win of his career against the Oakland A's. June
14th, 2011.


Desean
Warren, a WR out of Blue Valley West High School who began training at
TopSpeed during his junior year has blown up on the national recruiting
scene. He was recently named to the Nike SPARQ All-Combine Team after placing in the Top 25 at the 2011 Oakland Nike SPARQ
Combine. Additionally he
earned an invite to the Ultimate 100 Camp after his performance at the
KC National Underclassmen Combine where he was timed at 4.50 in the 40,
jumped 36.5 inches and ran a 4.14 short-shuttle drill. He recently
visited Stanford University, Colorado University and has more visits
scheduled for this summer.
Christian Ballard, who began training with Coach Potts back in 2006, was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with their 3rd overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Be sure to check out the video above which chronicles Christian's journey from high school prep star to his selection in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Will Griffin (#9 in picture) impressed during his workout for the Kansas City Chiefs. Will, who has trained with Coach Potts since the end of his junior season at MNU, clocked in with the fastest 20-yard shuttle, highest vertical jump and most reps of 225 in the bench press test among the defensive-back group of NFL prospects brought in by the Chiefs.
TopSpeed Sports Performance alum Christian Ballard clocked in with the fastest 40 yard dash time among projected interior defensive linemen at the 2011 NFL Combine, check out his first run in the video above. Christian also posted Top 3 scores in the vertical jump and standing broad jump tests.

Jake Duren named to 2010 American Football Coaches Association NAIA All-American Team for the second consecutive season. Jake prepped for the 2010 season with Coach Potts and, despite missing 2 games with an injury, still totaled 109 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 14.5 tackles-for-loss and 3 interceptions as the MNU Pioneers finished the season with a 12-1 record and Heart of America Conference championship.
